In UTC that is 04:00 during US daylight saving time and 05:00 in winter; in Germany it is always 06:00 in the morning. How to read the hint ladder

Every category card uses the same four-step ladder, ordered from vaguest to most specific. It mirrors the way the game itself gives you more audio on each miss.

1. Release year — narrows the era and eliminates most of the catalogue.
2. Artist's first letter — combine it with the year to shortlist names.
3. Genre — usually confirms the artist once you have era and initial.
4. Title's first letter — with the artist known, this normally solves it.

Reveal only when you have given up: the answer sits behind the reveal button, not in the visible copy of the cards.

What is Songless?

Songless is a free daily music guessing game by Lessgames. You hear a very short clip — the first one is just 0.1 seconds, often a single drum hit or vowel — and you have to name the song. A wrong guess or a skip unlocks a longer clip, and you get six guesses per puzzle before the round ends. There are three puzzles a day: the mixed All category, a dedicated Rock lane and a dedicated Hip Hop lane.

The format went viral because it is the audio cousin of Wordle: one shared answer, a short daily ritual, a streak and an emoji grid to share. The difference is that Songless tests pattern recognition rather than vocabulary — production, drum tone and era give the answer away long before the melody does.
